On Monday 18th February, five trees, each selected for its difference were planted at Inner Temple Gardens, The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple is one of the four Inns of Court (professional associations for barristers and judges) in London.
The initiative is part of our Interfaith Tree Planting Project, sponsored by the Mayor of London, to fortify strong relationships between faith and community organisations, whilst making London greener. We were joined by young professionals from City Sikhs, City Hindus, Society of Asian Lawyers and the Association of Muslim Lawyers.
As our our co-chair, Jasvir Singh said: “This helps validify our relationships as people of different faith communities and also just people of London”. As Londoners, we all have a role to play in caring for the environment, from recycling to planting trees.
The Inn has a history of community building and would like to thank them for their collaboration on this great initiative.
