A spokesman for Faiths United said:

“Faith communities all over the UK are excited for our places of worship to reopen for public worship from this Saturday. Since lockdown started, we have missed our places of worship, particularly during a busy period of religious festivals.

The return of some communities to their cherished Churches, Mosques, Synagogues, Temples, Gurdwaras and other places of worship will be a special moment. These vibrant communities are crucial to the nation’s spiritual well-being, alongside our health and our wealth.

We understand that this is being done in limited form since the health and safety of our congregations remains the ongoing priority.”
