Bishop Sarah Mullally becomes an honorary patron of Faiths Forum for London

On Saturday 12th May, our Director, Mustafa Field MBE along with Faith Forum Co-chair, Jasvir Singh OBE and fellow council members attended the historic installation of the Right Reverend Dame Sarah Mullally, the 133rd Bishop of London at St Paul’s Cathedral – becoming one of the most senior figures in the Church of England and the first woman to hold the post. We are proud to welcome Bishop Sara Mullally as our honorary patron.

In her installation speech she recognised the importance of building relationships, and how it is “At the heart of Christianity is a relationship.” She also spoke about the importance of continuing to develop relationships to tackle social divide as part of our solution to tackle violent crime in London today.

“We need to speak up for the whole of London, to work to challenge the violence and the crime that have led mothers to clean their own children’s blood from our pavements. Could there be a starker image or a more urgent wake-up call for all who love this city, who believe it can have an even better future?”
