In partnership with the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and Community Security Trust (CST). The webinar will cover Online Security (how to protect yourself and your community from online threats) combined with Hate Crime and your Community (how to deal with racial and religious hatred – especially in the digital age). It will examine:

  • How the online world can be used to manipulate the unwary, how to check for fake emails and suggest tips to follow every day to keep yourself safe from scams, viruses and data breaches.
  • Examine the meaning of hate crime, the growth of new and emerging hate groups and conspiracy theories and how these are thriving in the online environment.
  • Ways of combating hate speech and what to do if you are a victim.

This is of interest to any member of a community that feels vulnerable to online threats, violent extremism and hate crime.
